Time has just recently brought out an issue of the famous magazine giving Lil Wayne the title as “the best rapper alive.” What we want to know is, what do the hiphop fans out there think… is Lil Wayne the best rapper alive just as he claims to be? Thats a question that has been brought up in many conversations this year. Personally speaking, the man sells but I wouldn’t give him that much credit. Have you actually sat down and listened to what he says sometimes? No hate but some of his tracks show mild signs of someone with Tourette Syndrome. I title Lil Wayne the next Rick James, they got a lot in common after all.

Alright so as we reported Lil Wayne’s “Tha Carter III” sold 1 million records in its 1st week. So what is next for Wayne? Well in his own remix version of “A Millie” he talks about working on Carter 4 and even Carter 5. LoL dude really must be “tree high” hahah.. Congrats to Weezy again and congrats to the fans who made selling one million in todays industry possible!

So the incredible buzz that Lil Wayne was able to build in anticipation of his album “Tha Carter III” has paid off. Dude was able to sell almost a Milli (1,005,545 according to Wayne’s boss) on his first week. Whether it is a classic album or not, thats really a statement that receives split criticism amongst Hip Hop fans.
Lil Wayne now has official numbers to back up his bragging — the rapper’s new CD has sold a spectacular 1 million copies its first week.
“Tha Carter III” is easily the best selling first week of the year, according to Nielsen SoundScan figures. Even Kanye West’s “The Graduation” didn’t eclipse that mark in its first week last year (though it was only about 50,000 copies short).
