Alright so as we reported Lil Wayne’s “Tha Carter III” sold 1 million records in its 1st week. So what is next for Wayne? Well in his own remix version of “A Millie” he talks about working on Carter 4 and even Carter 5. LoL dude really must be “tree high” hahah.. Congrats to Weezy again and congrats to the fans who made selling one million in todays industry possible!

So the incredible buzz that Lil Wayne was able to build in anticipation of his album “Tha Carter III” has paid off. Dude was able to sell almost a Milli (1,005,545 according to Wayne’s boss) on his first week. Whether it is a classic album or not, thats really a statement that receives split criticism amongst Hip Hop fans.

Lil Wayne now has official numbers to back up his bragging — the rapper’s new CD has sold a spectacular 1 million copies its first week.

“Tha Carter III” is easily the best selling first week of the year, according to Nielsen SoundScan figures. Even Kanye West’s “The Graduation” didn’t eclipse that mark in its first week last year (though it was only about 50,000 copies short).

Despite his album leaking and the music industry suffering from an overall decline in sales, some experts are expecting Wayne to sell a million in his first week. Last week, Tha Carter III leaked. Everyone knows what they have on their hands: the first pure hip-hop classic of 2008.

Honestly i think somebody at MTV is on the same fukin syrup that Lil Wayne sippin. The way they talk about the album is as if Pac is back alive. Already calling the album a definite “classic”??? Im not sure what is contributing to the MTV fascination with Lil Wayne but w/e it is.. its generating great buzz for the homie. Still if Kanye barely managed to sell a mill in first week (even with the whole 50 Cent competition frenzy) im not sure what these experts are basing their predictions on. But dont get me wrong.. i will be damn happy to see Tha Carter III sell even 2 mill in first week.. im just sayin.

This has been out on the net for about 2 days but i was waiting to see if there would be any better leaks before i posted this. The clips are there but they are really short for each song which doesn’t give us a chance to really get a feel for the tracks. Until i get my hands on anything else.. this will have to do.
