Boston just handled the Lakers (Boston 131 - 92 Lakers) to win their first NBA title in 22 years. This is their 17th NBA championship title. “The Dream” Paul Pierce was named the MVP of the game. Damn so i guess Kobe Bryant could not manage to do the impossible and beat the big 3. Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen both produced 26 points each and Ray Allen was able to tie the record for seven 3 pointers in a NBA Finals game. Paul Pirece dropped 17 points and Kobe Bryant disappointed me with only 22 points. I guess the idea of the Lakers winning was a bit too much but you cant blame the people for dreaming.

Damn game one was very close throughout and i must say it was a very entertaining NBA Finals opener. Paul Pierce sprained his knee but made his return shortly after and the crowd cheered for him like he was Muhammad Ali. I was very disappointed with Kobe Bryant tonight because although he gave some nice looks to his teammates he didn’t do his primary job.. SCORE MAD POINTS! This should be one of the more exciting NBA Finals compared to the last few years. Kobe seeks his first ring without Shaq, while Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, & Ray Allen play for their first ever NBA championship. Kobe went from rumors of leaving the team, to winning his first regular season MVP and reaching the finals. The Celtics management put together a monster squad with the three headed beast consisting of Ray Allen, Paul Pierce & Kevin Garnett. Anything less than the finals would of been a disappointment with that lineup in the East. Let the speculations of who will be crowned the Champions begin. I mean on paper this one belongs to the Celtics because they have 3 superstars working together but people are saying that Kobe is unstoppable this year (Jordan status). So who u think is going to win?

Kobe Bryant has won the NBA’s MVP award for the first time, the Los Angeles Times reported on its Web site Friday night, citing anonymous sources familiar with the outcome of voting by media members.The newspaper reported that commissioner David Stern will be in Los Angeles next week to present the trophy to Bryant.
